Today on my workbench, a Nintendo Virtual Boy with a broken LCD screen on the right side of the device. I learned that the adhesive that has been used on the flat cable will damage the traces of the flat cable, and that is the reason that the screen of the Virtual Boys will stop working. And that is the case on the machine.
New flat cables
The owner bought 2 new flat cables and asked me to replace them, so I did 🙂

I used acetone to remove the old glue residue after ripping off the flat cable.
