If a capacitor has been leaking, always look under surrounding components. Sometime it looks there is no residue under a nearby component, but you can’t see it. In the picture below you see some vias that have been exposed to leaken electrolyte for some while, and are starting to corrode. At one moment the traces to those vias will be totally gone.
So remove surrouding components nearby a capacitor and clean underneath them!
